Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her active in a variety of projects. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Choir for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
