MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global progress into the Latin pop scene. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was released by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. He then joined Ozuna on the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina that year. In 2021, he performed in a duo performance with TINI for her streaming single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His younger brother and his mother are also musicians. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. Growing up, he instructed to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. His first career choice was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing by working with a Cuban teacher. The end result, realizing that he had the ability to sing, altered the course his life.
